I'd like to share a 35 second story about a perfect fire...

on a clear night in late September...

sitting across from a beautiful woman while...

a giant dog, laying 10 feet away, patiently waited to step on a coyotes neck...

She's a kind dog but a bit frightening.

That night, April laid down about 10 feet away because the fire was too hot.

Aprils slept, she only opens her eyes if she needs to jump into action.

You see, April has an instinct of protection, much like you and me.

It's built in just the same.

She's good to have since we have an occasional roaming coyote...

Her type of dog instinctively pounces on coyotes, stepping on their necks to pin them down.

This night was bit quieter than usual though, so April stayed sleeping.

Then my wife said to me...

"Lou, what kind of fire is this?"

I quickly looked back to her sitting across from me, caught in her beauty again like a high school kid, I barely heard her.

She asked again...

"Lou are you listening?" she asked with a head nodding smile...

"Tell me what kind of fire this is..."

I had no clue really, I just set it up, lit it and enjoyed a warm time with my wife.
