Fire and survival go hand-in-hand.
And when it comes to surviving a crisis, fire does 3 main things...
1. It provides heat to protect you from the elements.
2. It gives you the ability to purify water and cook food.
3. It gives you a natural signal that can be used to pinpoint your location and get you rescued.
Fire does a lot more than that, but without those 3 things, you likely won't survive any survival situation.
Plain and simple.
and when you're in a survival situation, you need a source of fire that's going to be reliable and light no matter what...
Here's what you DON'T NEED to be doing during a survival situation
...rubbing two sticks together and hoping for fire.
...bringing a lighter that might not work because it gets wet, or the lighter fluid inside evaporates and you're stuck in the wild, freezing with a tool that doesn't function.
...and using matches that don't have a long enough burn time to get a fire going and can't ignite wet tinder.
all of the above methods COULD produce fire...
Under the right circumstances.
But one thing is always true about survival.
you're never given the right circumstances.
Instead you have to survive with the tools, resources, and experience you have.
That's why you're still reading this.
You're a true survivalist that wants to be prepared for anything.
You don't rely on circumstances.
And you don't want to end up like this guy.
